Peter Vardy, the fast-growing automotive retailing group, is stepping up the pace of its expansion with the opening of another new dealership in the Edinburgh commuter town of Dalgety Bay, creating additional high quality jobs.

The new showroom, at Harbour Way in the Fife coastal town, will be a Vauxhall dealership with between 60 to 70 cars on the forecourt. It will also provide access to thousands of premium quality vehicles from the national Peter Vardy network. Chief Executive, Peter Vardy, said: “Dalgety Bay is a key location for our business and we are delighted to have acquired what we believe will continue to be a very successful authorised Vauxhall dealership in Fife.” Formerly the long-established Steve Curtis Cars, the Dalgety Bay premises will benefit from a full revamp in the new Vauxhall corporate identity, with a stylish contemporary look in the sales and service areas. Billy Fraser, of Peter Vardy, who takes over as Branch Manager, said: "We are going to provide Dalgety Bay with a really friendly motor retail environment, run with lots of energy and enthusiasm, giving our guests a world class buying experience." The new dealership is the latest addition to the Peter Vardy stable, which includes showrooms in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Motherwell and Kirkcaldy, offering marques such as Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW and MINI. Mr Fraser, currently Sales Manager at Perth, will oversee the existing team of 11, all of whom will retain their positions, as well as recruiting another six colleagues to ensure we are able to deliver the full Peter Vardy guest experience. Once established, he will also liaise with staff to identify a local charity partner. Peter Vardy nationally donates 10% of all its profits to charitable purposes and each dealership has an individual charity partner which it supports and promotes. Mr Fraser, an automotive industry specialist who has been with Peter Vardy for five years, said: "As well as providing the best possible sales experience, we will also interact positively with the Dalgety Bay community by supporting charities in the local area. "Peter Vardy's aim is to be the world's best motor retailer and we achieve that by creating a positive relationship with our colleagues, our guests and the local community." Steve Curtis, who has been selling cars in Dalgety Bay for 30 years, said: "I am delighted that the premises are going to continue to provide high-quality, good value service to the people of Fife. "Peter Vardy has a solid reputation for creating strong links with the communities in which it operates and I am sure Billy Fraser and his team will create a very welcome facility in the town."
